Monk Strap

The Monk shoe is a footwear design with no lacing, traditionally fastened with a single or double buckle. The Monk shoe is said to have been developed by 15th Century Alpine Monks and worn in monasteries throughout Europe. The Monk shoe rose in popularity during the 1920’s where it quickly became a formal alternative to the Oxford shoe in the post-war era.
