It all started in a little shoe shop in London in 1857. Alfred and Emma Jones opened their footwear shop in Bayswater, London, and with the help of their large family of fourteen children, they paved the way for the footwear industry by introducing stocks of ready-made shoes available in a variety of width fittings. This initiated a new tradition in shoe fitting which is still used to this day. Fashions change, but our vision of exquisite craftsmanship has always remained.
